Our final week in Brazil was spent in Petropolis, where Carla spent her high school and pre-mission years. The top photo is the little hotel we stayed in which as a converted from Portuguese Count's home into a hotel. It only had 6 rooms. The next 2 photos arr of the cathedral located about a 2-minute walk from our hotel. Every morning at 7:30 the bells would ring for about 2 minutes. Third photo is the home of Santos Dumont, Brazil's aviation pioneer. He developed and flew a flying machine about 3 years after the Wright Brothers without any knowledge of what happened in the USA. Next photo is Toni's Pizza, a place Carla and her friends hung out during high school years. We ate there twice. Next 4 photos are of friends we caught up with while in Petropolis
Marco and Celcilia
Chico and Edna
Pastori and Edna
Arthur and Mari
